Yr Hen Ysgol (Parc Y Bont) Llanedwen is a beautiful old building previously the local primary school until relocated to the nearby village of Llanddaniel. Situated in a beautiful rural location within the boundaries of the ‘Plas Newydd Estate’ and opposite the historic site of ‘Bryn Celli Ddu’.

Siwgr Plwm is ideally located and easily accessible for commuting parents; just a few minutes drive from Llanfairpwll, the Britannia bridge and the mainland beyond. The nursery is surrounded by healthy, fresh country air and views, has dedicated off road parking and safe outdoor play areas for the children.

The building has recently undergone a total refurbishment and now includes a purpose built extension, which houses the baby room. The baby room has child friendly, low level safety windows and oodles of space for exploration and play. To the south side are two sets of doors leading to a large enclosed garden, which is shaded and has a ‘Playscape’ surface for safety and peace of mind.

Siwgr Plwm is registered and regulated by the Care Standards Inspectorate for Wales. The nursery cares for up to 50 children in three main rooms; each room is allocated the recommended staff to child ratio so that your child will never feel ignored or left out.

The nursery opening hours are from 7:45am until 5:55pm weekdays and are open 51 weeks of the year, excluding bank holidays and for the Christmas / New Year period.

Meithrinfa Siwgr Plwm operates on a bi-lingual basis. All members of staff speak Welsh and English, however they will always converse with each child through their first language.
